Substitute Teachers (Independent Contractor)
The substitute teacher is responsible for the continuation of all learning activities in the classroom. Job duties include interacting with children during program times and ensuring Health and Safety of children at all times. Substitute Teachers are also expected to communicate with the classroom teacher they are replacing, informing them of their progress in the assigned lessons and other issues that occurred in the classroom in the teacher's absence.
You will work with a variety of students, in collaboration with our dynamic team of special education teachers, speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, behaviorists, school counselors and clinicians.
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education required; Master’s Degree preferred
CT State Certificate Required
Min. 2 years’ experience teaching students with mild to moderate learning differences, OR working with students on the autism spectrum, preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
